As you can imagine, there have been a number of 9/11 workouts dedicated to those who lost their lives on September 11 and the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure this loss of life was kept as low as possible.
Today, we’re going to discuss a few of the most famous 9/11 workouts commemorating the victims and heroes from that dark day. Start training for these now!
First, you got a push press.

Congratulations: you have the two components of the most infamous CrossFit lift…the thruster!
Handle a barbell long enough you’re bound to start scuffing your hands up. Even if you’re a calisthenics bro, there’s a good chance your upper palm will quickly resemble the surface of Mars.

Most likely, you want to know how YOU stack up to these deadlift standards.
Fair enough and lucky for you, we have all of the stats to back up what these standards are by gender, weight, age, and deadlift variation.
The CrossFit Level 1 manual says, “It is our observation that men will die for points.”

The overall goal of Army PRT is to enhance each soldier’s overall strength, endurance, and mobility, so they can be ready to face the physical demands their service requires.
That being said, if you’re a soldier struggling with certain aspects of the ACFT, you might want to look into more traditional (or simply non-Army PRT) training style to complement your PRT work. Maybe even incorporate CrossFit into your training; these athletes seem pretty good at the ACFT!
For an exercise as popular as the bench press, you would think that there would be a multitude of speciality barbells dedicated to the exercise. Olympic weightlifting barbells are known for their incredible spin and “whip”.
Dedicated deadlift bars are generally longer and thinner than other Olympic-sized barbells.
…and “bench press bars”….well….
Despite what you may have seen on TV (especially in recent times) rucking is actually a pretty challenging practice.
…but with challenge comes extensive benefits and even some cool bragging rights and swag for those who complete the most challenging ruck marches!
